Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
The Johnson County Health Department and the Johnson County Solid Waste Management District recommend using a professional sharps container for storage of used needles/syringes before their ultimate disposal. These containers are free of charge to Johnson County residents. You may pick up a container from the Health Department office. Once the container is full, return it to the Health Department where appropriate disposal will be accomplished at no charge to you. Obtain another free container for your use.
