Sharps must be in a container with a lid or an empty puncture resistant, non-see-through capped bottle, such as a laundry detergent or bleach container. Do not use containers that can be easily punctured, such as a bag, water bottle, milk container, soda can or glass bottle. Do not place loose sharps in the kiosk.
The Vermilion County Health Department has a limited number of quart sized sharps containers that residents can take home, fill up and return to the sharps kiosk.
