Sharps must be in a sharps container or other puncture proof, plastic container with a sealable, tight fitting lid, such as a laundry detergent bottle. Not accepted: soda or water bottles, milk jugs, glass containers or plastic bags. Sharps containers are available for purchase. Outside containers will be subject to a $5 processing fee. Limit of one drop-off per household per month (up to 2 gallons). Commercial or institutional waste will not be accepted.
It is against the law in the state of Wisconsin to dispose of sharps in the household trash.
